The ‘Small wind turbine manufacturing’ workshop was organised by Smart grids Research Unit of the Electrical and Computer Engineering School NTUA, Laboratory of Aerodynamics of the School of Mechanical Engineering NTUA, Rural Electrification Research Group, Wind Empowerment and RE-EMPOWERED project from 3 to 27 of October with great success. During the workshop electrical and mechanical engineering students formed groups in order to build a small wind turbine from scratch. The wind turbine will be installed at the demo-site of the RE-EMPOWERED project in Kythnos.
