At the same time that the GENERA 2023- International Energy and Environment Fair is celebrated in Madrid, Spain also hosts the International Renewable Energy Conference (SPIREC).
SPIREC is the International Renewable Energy Conference, which is organized by the Spanish Government and REN21. This Conference has taken place during the days February 20th to February 23rd, 2023, in IFEMA MADRID FAIR CENTER (Feria de Madrid) venue, Avda. Del PartenĂ³n, 5, 28042, Madrid.
SPIREC is an international high-level policy event, where decision-makers from across society come together to meet and discuss policies and experiences. It focuses on building collective know-how to advance renewables at the international, national and sub-national levels.
SPIREC is bringing together high-level representatives of governments, the private sector, academia, and civil society. The event is a unique opportunity to create conversations about ways to achieve an energy system that supports sustainable development and climate objectives, in particular in the context of the current energy crisis, concerns over global supply chains and the need to accelerate progress towards climate neutrality.
During the SPIREC event, conference sessions are celebrated, focusing on renewable energy supply chains, integration in end uses, social participation and positive impacts of renewable energy development, the technical and policy challenges ahead and the opportunities of the energy transition.
The program includes 52 conferences, with the participation of 141 high-level international speakers, all of them recognized as worldwide level experts in renewable energies, energy efficiency and energy policy.
