RE-EMPOWERED at Sustainable Places 2024

From 23rd to 25th September 2024, the RE-EMPOWERED project was prominently featured at the Sustainable Places conference held in Luxembourg, recognized as Europe’s #1 destination for EU research collaboration and market opportunities. This year marked the 12th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2024), a hybrid event with in-person sessions hosted in Luxembourg.

On the 24th of September, Kostas Karanasios from DAFNI network showcased RE-EMPOWERED project during the workshop titled “EU Geographical Islands as Leaders of Green Energy Transition.” The main outcomes of the project were presented, including the interventions in all demo sites, the implementations and the functionalities of all ecoTools, as well as the engagement activities, emphasizing the different needs of each demo site. In conjunction with the conference, a peer-reviewed joint publication will be prepared for Open Research Europe, detailing the outcomes of the workshop.

Throughout the event, the RE-EMPOWERED project was actively discussed with a diverse range of partners from various EU institutions, many of whom expressed a keen interest in following the project’s developments. The conference attracted a large audience from institutions across Europe, fostering valuable networking opportunities and collaborations in the field of sustainable energy.
