On Friday 14th June, BEOF attended the Danish Democracy Festival “Folkemødet” with BEOF, representing the project RE-EMPOWERED.
About Folkemødet:
With more than 2000 political events created by 650 different organizations the Democracy Festival of Denmark has become an important democratic event with the purpose of creating informal meetings and dialogue between decision-makers and citizens. More than 50,000 citizens, parliamentarians, NGOs, business representatives and grassroots meet up and debate our society and celebrate our democracy during the three-day festival in June.

Christian Nygaard Sørensen representing Bornholms Energy & Supply (BEOF) was part of an event arranged by the company. Based on the concept of human library, each representative had undertaken a topic/project and visitors of the “library” could borrow a person for an interesting talk about a certain topic. Christian represented RE-EMPOWERED and had some great talks with various people about the project and the importance of integration of renewable energy sources in all parts of the world.
