On 18-19 January 2023 we held the Consortium Plenary meeting at the National Technical University of Athens hosted by the EU project coordinator ICCS-NTUA. Representatives from European partners Deloitte, Protasis, DAFNI, ICL and DTU attended the meeting on site while BV and Indian partners joined online. During the meeting we presented the progress of the past 6 months in each work package and discussed the activities to take place in the following semester.
The first day started with opening remarks and objectives of the meeting, which were followed by the presentations on project’s coordination, operational functions for local energy systems, innovation in infrastructure, digitalization of energy systems, dissemination and energy community development. During the second day, deployment and demonstration strategies were discussed along with the progress in our four demo sites (Bornholm, Kythnos, Ghoramara, Keonjhar). Moreover fruitful discussions took place regarding business models and ethics requirements. A session with the members of our external advisory board; Prof Saifur Rahman, Georgios Koukoufikis, Despoina Koukoula, George Messinis was also organised in which the highlights of the project together with the main achievements were presented and valuable feedback was received. We are looking forward to our next physical meeting!
